Basement Dehumidifiers

Dehumidifiers for basement, stairwells and cellars are normally refrigerant type dehumidifiers. All these areas tend to have a high accumulation of humidity. If left unattended, this will cause damage to the stored items, walls, paintings etc. We supply various types of basement dehumidifiers for this purpose.

How to remove water from the basement?

The basement is an area where there will be very small seepage of water. Even though it seems innocuous, it will cause damage to the walls over time. As there are many water pipes and sewage pipes in the basement, it will be difficult to locate the source too. In such cases, you can use a basement dehumidifier. This will continuously extract moisture from the air and keeps the air dry. However, this will not prevent water seepage. A basement dehumidifier is not suitable if there is a large pool of water from water leakage.

How to control humidity and moisture in basements?

The humidity and moisture in the basements will be always high because moist air is heavier than normal air. Hence it tends to accumulate in the basements. Also if there is any seepage of water from the pipe network, the air in the basement becomes moist. This will slowly cause damage to the walls, other stored goods etc. In order to control humidity in basements, you need to use a dehumidifier. A dehumidifier extracts moisture from the air. It converts the moisture into water. Then drain the water somewhere outside of the basement. A refrigerant dehumidifier takes moist air through the inlet. Then it condenses the moisture content into water. The outlet air will be drier than the intake air.

The dehumidifier will have a container to store the extracted water. One option is to manually empty the container once it is full. Another method is to pump the water out of the place using an optional pump supplied by us. In order to select the right dehumidifier for basements, we have to calculate the required capacity. Our expert team will help you to select the right dehumidifier for basements. You have to provide the size of the basement, the current humidity levels and the temperature. Based on these details, we will calculate the required capacity and select the right model of dehumidifier for basements.
